New for the 2025 model year is a 430-hp 6.7-liter Cummins high-output turbo diesel engine that generates best-in-class 1,075 lb-ft of diesel torque. Along with a new engine is a column-shifted TorqueFlite HD eight-speed transmission. This new engine and new transmission allow the RAM 3500 to tow a maximum of 36,610 pounds.
The RAM heavy duty lineup, which includes the 2025 RAM 3500, provides the best towing, riding, and handling ever and emphasizes comfort.
On the exterior, this RAM truck features a new grille and standard LED headlights and tail lamps. Inside, you can access the Uconnect® 5 infotainment system on a new 14.5-inch screen. There’s also a segment-first 10.25-inch passenger screen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
The RAM 3500 is also equipped with new standard vehicle safety features including traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, active lane management, forward collision warning-plus, and ParkSense® front and rear park assist (starting on the Big Horn trim). The new drowsy driver detection feature is available.
The standard RAM 3500 engine is a 450-hp 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 gas engine that delivers 429 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a 8-speed automatic 8HP75-LCV transmission. The 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine is available starting on the Laramie trim level.
With the standard engine, this work truck has a 18,210-pound towing capacity when properly equipped. A Class V receiver hitch is standard.
Depending on the trim level, this RAM truck has a 32-gallon or 31-gallon fuel tank. Crew cab models have an available largest-in-class fuel tank at 50 gallons.
Rear-wheel drive (RWD) is standard across all trim levels, and four-wheel drive (4wd) is available.
An 11.5-inch single wheel anti-spin differential rear axle and 6,000-pound front axle are standard. Front and rear heavy-duty shock absorbers are also standard.
